So we have just about got settled into our new west texas lifestyle! We have been here almost 2 months and I can say, Amarillo has been a pleasant surprise! Not to say we don’t miss Dallas like crazy at times, but it is much better than what I expected. We really love our apartments and they are sooo close to Chris’ school, he is riding his bike and saving some money on gas! Speaking of school, we have both been really busy adapting to our school schedules. Chris is doing so wonderful, he literally studies all the time, with the exception of Friday “date night” where I get to see him without his head in a book or passing through the living room on his way from the coffee pot back to his study cave! I love my school too, my team is great and I like the new principals a lot. It is just a bit of a culture shock compared to my kiddos from Richardson. We just found a church that we love, and are about to get started with a small group there with some other people our age! That is one thing we miss a lot about leaving Dallas, our church and our church family! We also started the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University class at church and have been learning how to better manage the little money we have now! I don’t know how many people know much about Amarillo, but I have made it my duty to inform the masses about the crazy yet charming quirks of Amarillo town that we now proudly call home! So here is my top ten list.
